About

Welcome to Photo Star Portrait Studio, where every snapshot tells a story and every frame captures a memory.

I'm Luis Patron, founder of Photo Star, and my love for photography began in my childhood in Mexico. This passion led me into the world of television as a cameraman and director. My work took me across the globe, from the icy landscapes of Iceland to remote islands in the South Pacific, and bustling Asian megacities. I had the privilege of shooting photos and films for the United Nations, capturing diverse cultures and landscapes.

My career in television also brought me to Japan, where I worked with renowned networks such as Discovery, CNN, Olympic Channel, French TV 1, and ARTE. Each project offered a unique opportunity to capture compelling stories through my lens, often leading me to hidden gems rarely seen by tourists in Japan.

Immersing myself in Japan's most photogenic locales, I've photographed everything from kimono painters in Kanazawa to Buddhist monks in Shikoku. These experiences have allowed me to capture the rich tapestry of Japanese culture, enriching my skills and fueling my passion for visual storytelling.

Over more than a decade, I've explored the picturesque corners of Japan, gaining an intimate understanding of its beauty. This knowledge enhances the authenticity and richness of our work at Photo Star, where we strive to tell your story through captivating images.
